Preparing Nanosilica Particles from Rice Husk Using Precipitation Method

Nanosilica was extracted from rice husk, which locally collected the Iraqi mill at Al-Mishikhab district in Najaf Governorate, Iraq. The precipitation method used to prepared powder husk ash, after treating it thermally 700°C, followed by dissolving silica alkaline solution and getting a sodium silicate solution. Two samples of final were study effect filtration on purity sample X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF). result shows that filtered have above while non-filtered around structure analysis investigated diffraction (XRD), found has an amorphous nature. Also, broad peak ( particle size distribution determined Atomic force microscope (AFM), results gave average diameter equals dimension range , B.E.T. confirms high surface area 618 . FT-IR Spectra experimental data showed presence hydrogen-bonded silanol group (Si–O–H) siloxane (Si–O–Si) proved particles.
